Need help..spousal visa

I have applied for spousal visa,medical got approved.My husband received mail from cic that the application have been forwarded to my hometown Delhi.
1)what are the next processes until the passport request.
2)how much time it would take for the compleation of processing.

Its not unusual not to hear from IRCC for months after medical exam........the next step will be review of eligibility and background check which takes a while........so it good to assume spousal sponsorship process completion takes 12 months.......which could help reduce your waiting stress.........relax.........its a wait game.
