Hello Dear Friends,

I am Tahir from Pakistan working in Government Organization and I have a wife with one month old infant baby.

I want to settle down in Canada and I could not be able to find a right path to achieve this. Someone has suggested me to obtain visit visa for both me and my wife(included baby) and go there and claim refugee claim or anything like that. And one more question is that should I apply for passport mentioned clearly that I am a government servant or should I opt for private passport which is common and issued to non-government job holders.

Please help me is this a safe way? or how many percentage chances are successful?

Please take out your precious time and answer my queries I would pray for your life and health. I would appreciate if more and more replies from different people could answer so that it can gives me more depth look into matter.

Regards.

There is an extremely high chance you will be refused since you aren't a genuine refugee. Once you are refused, you will be forced to leave Canada and it will be very difficult for you to return.

If you want to immigrate to Canada, you should apply through the Federal Skilled Worker, Quebec Skilled Worker or one of the Provincial Nominee immigration programs. You can read about these programs below to determine if you qualify to apply:

Thank You very much for your prompt reply scylla

I am genuine refugee claimer since I have married with my wife against the will of my wife's brother. And since then we have been living in hide. Her brother threatened our life on so many occassions. Thats why i want to migrate my country.

These are not valid grounds for claiming refugee status. CIC will say that you can easily move to a different part of the country to get away from your brother-in-law.

Do you have any other grounds for clamining refugee status?

I just simply wont wanna leave Canada. I would tell them that I am not going anywhere you can jail me. Will they deport me?

I have so many other grounds. Just as Recently Shia Sunni sectarian killings took place in our city. So will this help my cause?

And the other alternatives you have suggested me I would like to know following things:

a. I have done MBA in Finance but I am working in Government Organization as a Personal Assistant. Will this experience count for Accountant post?

b. If I can arrange Accountant Experience from Private Construction company will they accept it?

c. What is assessing authority? I mean what they will ask me about what and what kind of questions they may put on me?

d. Is there any free assessing authority on net where I can gauge my skills in accountancy that whether I am eligible or not?

PS: Me and my wife both are Masters degree holders. 16 years of education completed.

Please guide me. I am desperate to Come to Canada. I would appreciate your support in this regard.

Regards.

If your refugee application is refused then you will be put on a plane and sent home (deported). The killings will help if you can provide evidence that you have been specifically targetted and prove why moving to a different part of the country isn't a possible solution.

a) It's very unlikely this experience will count for an Accountant post.
b) I can't tell you that. If it's real experience, then it has a good chance of being accepted. If the experience is fake, then CIC will likely find and ban you for two years from Canada for misrepresentation.
c) CIC is the authority which assessess your application. If you want to find out about the experiences of others, I would recommend that you read through the posts in the Skilled Worker and Provincial Nominee section of the forum.
d) Not that I'm aware of.

Applying as a refugee is very risky. If you want a future in Canada then the best choice is to apply as a skilled worker through the Federal Skilled Worker / Quebec Skilled Worker / Provincial Nominee programs.

Thank you very much Scylla.

Would you please tell me that should I apply FSW by myself or through any legal expert. Do You know David Cohen?
I have sent him my CV and he accepted that he can represent my case. What would you suggest?

Experience is real in Accountancy in Construation company but I am afraid of what they will ask and how. I wish someone guided me or tell me their experience. Please recommend me if you know anyone accountant.

Best Regards,

Tahir

I don't know David Cohen personally. It's really your choice if you apply on your own or with the help of a lawyer/consultant.

Thank you for your continuous support. one last question I would like to ask.

Suppose I have been given Visa under FSW program for Accountant (General) then is it mandatory for me to work as an accountant in Canada or I will initially work at any post anywhere?

Please guide me.

No - it's not mandatory. You can work any job you want.
