Hi All,

I am planning to apply for a super visa for both my Mom and Dad.

I am glad that i meet the LICO requirements, but I an getting confused as to whose proof of financial support must be included when applying for a SV ? does my mom and dad have to show their financial assets or is my bank statement and pay stubs alone would do?

Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

any insight from Senior Members or anybody whose Applied for a SV and got approved will be highly appreciated.

Should be from your parents side e.g property on their name, any business they have or pay stubs (job letter) etc.

That is incorrect. Supervisa is different from a regular visitor visa. The host
which is the OP would provide proof of LICO through either NOA or employment pay stubs with receipt of medical insurance coverage which is $100,000.000

From his parents side, home ties should be provided.

I don't know if proof of financial support is absolutely required, in my mom's SV app, I submitted my NOA and my husband's NOA, no bank statements, no properties, no paystubs, still approved.

True, that's what I meant - he had already answered about his income requirement :)

Really? that's amazing because almost everyone has said that parents' ties to home country can be supported by paystubs, property etc.

You can provide all documents you want to make your app stronger, I just posted what I did for my mom's SV.
IMO, the NOA is their main requirement, if the income failed to meet the req, they deny the app quickly, and if the income is okay they will request medical, but who knows what other criteria they have.

*My friend also applied for her mom, she didn't submit bank statements and properties, just the NOA, also approved.

I appreciate all the valuable feedback , thank you so much

So just to make things clear My LICO requirements , My financial stability so that I can support my mom and dad they arrive here and their ties to home country as the most important criteria for the SV application.?

So i filled the questionnaire because I wanted to apply on behalf of my parents and I got the option of temporary resident visa for more than 6 months.. its giving me the list of docs that needs to be uploaded, its nowhere mentioning anything about a super visa application or medical insurance ...Am I on the right application package?

After the question of 'more or less than 6 months visa' the Questionnaire does ask for the type of visa - that includes Parent and Grand parent visa (super visa)

Did you answer "child" on the question "what is your relationship to the relative...?"
Common mistake on the questionnaire, child and not parent should be the answer.

I was selecting it as parent/grand parent....thanks though got the right application when I selected as 'child'....so confusing lol

If you click the "info" on that question, it shows the person in Canada... so the child is in Canada not the parent.
Also, if one didn't go back to the questionnaire and didn't see the medical insurance, I guess you can put it in the supporting documents or attached to invitation letter or somewhere you can attach it.
It worked with my friend, she didn't see the medical insurance, as long as it stated Super Visa in the app form, it's fine I guess.

I’m glad to have read this coz I’ve been asking in several forums if bank statement is really necessary. Yes, we do have savings but we would rather not include it if it’s not necessary. My husband’s income is way above LICO for 5 person and we can also include his employment letter as an addition. And on the applicant’s side she has savings, properties and has strong ties to her home country.

Thanks again for this post. It’s very helpful!
