I am looking do a masters program in Canada and i want to apply for a student visa. I just want to know whether i can take the medicals before i drop all my documents for my visa. I have been suggested to take the medicals before applying for the visa. My classes start in January and i am looking to drop my documents in the consulate to apply for the visa in the last week of November. Can you please tell me what i should be doing?
Hello,
If you are an Indian student, then of course you can opt for pre-medical assessment.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=1995&CountryName=India
visit this link, to choose the panel physician by yourself.
But remember to bring following documents/things while you visit them:
1) 5 Passport Photographs
2) Original Passport
3) Photocopy of biodata page of Passport
4) Letter of Acceptance.
Medical will be of around 3-4 hours depending upon the rush on that particular day. it is advisable to fix an appointment by calling them.
Following test will be done:
1) Blood Test
2) Urine Test
3) Chest Xray
4) Clinical Examinations
5) Panel Physician consultation
After you are done with your medical, you will be provided with a medical slip which you have to submit at the time of Visa application.
And one more thing, Submit Visa only and after one week form the medical date.
Hope it helps
