HYD- DELHI (AIR INDIA)
DELHI-LONDON ( AIR INDIA)
LONDON- TORONTO ( AIR CANADA)
TORONTO- DEER LAKE AIRPORT.( AIR CANADA) ( domestic flight from Toronto to deer lake)

Can you guys help me know that do I need to claim my baggage in Toronto airport and then re check in for the next domestic flight? Or will my baggage be transferred to the next domestic connecting flight in Canada?

Thanks

1. You will go through Customs and Immigration at Toronto, you will have to claim your baggage and once you clear both, re-check your bags. There is a usually a re-check baggage belt, before Customs exit.

So do I have to claim and drop my baggage at the belt before clearing customs? Also how do I drop the baggage without receiving the boarding pass? maybe at the delhi airport they will issue me boarding pass till toronto

Air India and air Canada are in a code share agreement so assume you have a through ticket so your bags should be tagged to the final destination. They should be offloaded at Toronto as your first POE where you will go through immigration formalities and then collect your bags for customs.

Once cleared customs you find the connections desk where you drop off your already tagged bags for your domestic sector. This is all airside you do not exit you stay airside.

As for boarding passes you need to contact Air India and if Air Canada have an India number for them might as well contact them as well. Would assume you get boarding passes at initial check in but airlines will know given 4 sectors may just get 2 , one for Air India flights and one for the Air Canada sectors.

So should I collect my baggage in delhi airport and re check it in again? my flight follows as Hyderabad to delhi and delhi to Toronto via London and then Toronto to deer lake which is domestic?

Also will I receive all the 4 boarding passes in Hyderabad or Delhi? Will I also receive the Air Canada domestic boarding pass in India itself?
