Question Guys...How long can a pr spend outside canada on holiday without risking Sponsorship application,
i cant seem to find info online neither on the immigration sites..i need to know is 4 weeks a year would risk or 5 weeks anyone went tru somthing like this plz share , i dont mean moving out of the country just holiday but lets say 3 weeks every 4 month ?

I'm pretty sure you can go out of country as much as you want as long as you don't exceed 3 years out of 5 years that your PR is good for.

It should be "standard" vacation time. It seems 2 weeks at a time is not a problem, and avoid traveling more often than quarterly.

I agree with AnaMaria...Short trip once in 6 months should be fine....

You need to maintain residency in Canada. Think of that in terms of healthcare. Most provinces require 153/183 days. Three weeks is the recommended max for a single trip. You don't want to give CIC any reason to believe you're really living overseas. So keep within healthcare requirements!

I am sure why Cic is not clear with exact time on the web site might be a catch!
I mean if u stay for 9 month in Canada in 1 year they won't consider u as a resident that's weird.
And they fuss about genuine relationship and family standards I am hoping to get better answers for my concerns thx guys
