Need help!! Please!!

Hi everyone!!

I just want to ask if the online study is acceptable for applying as a live in caregiver, because i have graduated in 2 years course in college but my units is only 58 units, i dont have time to study again so i decided to enroll in online study, im here in hongkong working as a domestic helper for 4 years, now the school in the philippines they agreed to teach me through online to earn 18 units, i finished already and my transcript is already authenticated i have two schools in one transcript the total of 76 units is that acceptable?And also i graduated in six months caregiver course, i have already employer in canada and my LMO is on process, im afraid what if theres a conflict on my transcript. Please give me advise. Thanks all advise is appreciated.*^__^*

Hi Evol, i was actually in the same situation before i came here to canada before, i earned my remaining units to complete the 72 units requirement thru home study and took 6 mos caregiver training program, i guess online and home studies is quite the same, as long as you complete the 72 units, unless there was any change in rules with regards to that matter. Thanks LittleDipper, can I ask again? Because I request a certification from school the online study , is it need to state in certificate those subject I took is on online? Because the Canadian consulate might doubt if how did i get the remaining units, im here in hongkong and the school is in the Philippines, do i need to tell the truth that i study through online?

I'm not so sure about that, but in my case the transcript from home study program was good enough, so i don't know for your case coz like what you said ur in hk and the school is in the phils.

You said you are currently working in HongKong as a Domestic Helper for 4 years now? Isn't that more than enough? Requirements for Live In Caregiver: at least 6 months continuous CLASSROOM training OR (1) year work experience. In your case, you have 4 years work experience...... you should be good.
