First of all, I am new to this forum and this forum was highly recommended by a friend.

My problem is: I came here as a Student, finished my studies and will be applying for PR under CEC in a week's time. My parents did not have a passport back home and when I applied for the student visa 3 years back, I made up some random date of birth for both of them and entered in the form. The problem is I do not remember the date I entered and I don't have a copy of that form either.

My questions are:

1. When I apply for PR under CEC, do they cross check these things (parent's DOB) against my student file?
2. Can I again come up with some random date of birth and enter it in the forms (remember they are not going to match with previous dates I entered)
3. Is there any way of getting my information I entered 3 years back when applying for student visa? Quickly?
4. My mother has a valid passport now, can I enter the correct date of birth she has in her passport (It will not match with previous DOB I entered)
5. My father is expired, can I just enter his date of death and attach a death certificate?
6. Can I submit the application without my parent's DOB? Because I am trying few things to get that information and as soon as I have that info I will submit the details?
7. Any other recommendations?

I would really appreciate any suggestions/recommendations and answers on the above.

if your mother has passport then use her passport Bday only and your father's case, you can use approximate date, I had similar cases where I know I had used different date in my two application , they will consider the date you are providing in your PR application

If you come up with false information, be prepared to support them with valid Birth certificates.
Later when your parents will apply for PR they will have to show birth certificates, what will you do then?

I am sure they don't cross check all information. Mostly visa officers work with the documents in hand. That does not mean, they can not cross check. If they doubt any information, they WILL verify.

Use your mother's valid DOB. In the past you did not had the DOB, but now you do, so use that.

If you submit without your parent's DOB, your file will be returned on incomplete ground.

thank you iamroth

Thing is my mother will never come to Canada so I don't have to worry about that for now.

The only thing I am worried about is my application.

I had the same problem.

I just gave the best estimates based on the information I know about them, and specified that those are estimated DOBs.

I got an AOR.
