I have been working In Canada since I graduate from Georgian College( 2 years Mechanical Technician - Precision Skills course) in Ontario for almost 16 months. I have some general questions here don't understand from NOC OAB list. Below are my questions. Thank you.
1:
About NOC OAB code
From my first month of work since May11th 2015 till Feb 25 2016, my job title which is CNC Operator, but all my main job duties are fit in NOC OAB No. 7231(CNC machinist) . But in section of Employment requirements, I haven`t Complete a "four-year apprenticeship program and no combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in machining is usually required to be eligible for trade certification". I find out some of these documents "is usually required " or "is available, but voluntary" or "may be required " Can you tell me what will happen if I dont have some of these certificate? And Can I use 7231 as my EE profile Noc OAB code?
2:
If answer from question 1 is yes .
From my first month of work after graduate since May11th 2015 till Feb 25 2016, my job title which is CNC Operator, but all my main job duties are fit in NOC OAB code 7231(CNC machinist) . But after Feb 25th 2016 I got a promotion from this company, they switch me into a CMM programmer position which NOC OAB code is 2233. In this case, can I use both of my 7231 and 2233 work experiences as a combination to apply CEC application which needs minimum 1 year work experience ? Because my two positions are both NOC B title jobs, and it is in the same company and maybe same field.

About NOC OAB code:
Anyone can tell me where I can find the specific job duties of each title?
I only can find main job duties under each code, like 7231, I only can find main job duties of all 7231 job titles.
For example, title "CNC machinist" is under code 7231, I can find 7231 main dutues, but I cannot find main duties for "CNC machinist".
I try click the specific job title to check if it can give a link to see any descriptions about this specific job title.
I even tried to search on Google, but it doesn't show up any results under CIC website.
Can you give me a link to job title: CNC Machinist and CMM programmer ??
Thank you very much.

For "regulated occupations," the required licensing is mandatory for the experience to count. Occupations are regulated at the provincial level, generally, stating the province you are working in is an important piece of information. However, if the NOC description states that certification is "available, but voluntary," certification is not mandatory for CEC.

Yes, you can use both positions, but you will need to treat them as 2 different positions - you will need Letters of Employment for both. It is possible to combine in one letter, but you will need all the required details for both positions.

NOC codes are meant to be "generic" for a group of occupations that are (on some level) related. There is no "official" duties and responsibilities for your specific job title (and titles themselves are of lesser importance than the duties and responsibilities, since employers vary greatly on job titles).

You can search job sites like Monster or Indeed (or JobBank) to see examples of job descriptions for an NOC or job title. But there's no guarantee that they will be appropriate.

it's not entirely clear why you are asking this, so not sure how to further answer. Your employer writes the job description (hopefully, uses the one that is already prepared when you were hired), some tweaking may be a good idea to help align it better with the NOC code.
