Hi Everyone
I am done with the documentation like : Police Clearance and Medical Test and other Proof of Relationship docs etc.,
I am wondering, if we need to notarize any of the documents ? or can send as is.

Any suggestions please.

Thanks,

Hi AjaxKing!

I can only speak for my application case (common-law partner sponsorship) and as far as I understood our application guide, only certified copies (needed when a document isn't in English or French and needs to be translated) need an authorization from a notary (or other authorized person). We had a separate statutory declaration of common-law partnership proved by a notary. But otherwise it's your signature in the forms that matter. That being said, your case might have special documents that require notarizing so I think it would be easier for people wiser than me to answer if you explained more about your case and what kind of documents you are thinking about.

In any case, good luck!!

Hi FiveO,
Thanks a lot for detailed explanation. Your explanation helped me to understand what's required.

BTW, I have just extracted What's app chat timings like below :

2016-02-17 - 3:53:20 AM: My Name in full
2016-02-17 - 3:54:10 AM: My Wife's Name in full

this itself came for 112 pages for 5 months chat, also submitting FaceTime Call Logs of 50 Pages.

Should this be sufficient or I also need to provide what we spoke in What's app ?

Thanks in advance.

Which VO will process your application?

In the country specific guide if it does not ask for a particular document to be original then you can submit a simple photocopy.

I would include all evidence you have. No such thing as too much, but not enough could cause issues.

Don't send just the chat timings of whatsapp. Do extract the actual text of what you spoke. You don't have to send the chat extract of all the days. Choose a few days from each month.

Guys,
Do we need to submit the Applicant's Birth Certificate ?
Does it needs to be translated to English ?

Thanks in advance.

yes it needs to be translated and notarized

Original, keep a photocopy for you. I don't know your country specific checklist but if you need declarations from two people attesting to your relationship then these need to be notarised too.

If you're applying under common law you need two personal declarations, these should be notarised.

See section 5 of your checklist:
