Dear All,

Currently i am in EE profile with 415 points. It has been 10 days i have created the profile and still i didnt recieved PT nomination (From forum i found that usually PT nominations are received in 2 to 3 days after EE profile creation).

Have any one recently received the PT nomination in month of march or april 2016 for ontario?

I've previously created EE profile during a month of feb and i didnt recieve the nomination till april 2016. as per the advice from experts i deleted my existing EE profile and recreated one now.. Even after i am not received the PT nomination..

Please Help with your advice.

Not sure where i am going wrong:-(

No one has received a PT notification from Ontario in March and April unless they are also fluent in French. There's nothing you can do but wait for the announcement of the OINP intake to reopen for the majority.

Provincial Nomination Program will only be "met" after the province sends the nomination for 600 points.

Lately, there has been a temporary hiatus in Ontario sending out PTs. It seems OINP is clearing the backlog which they have accumulated since November (as they had to process Syrian refugee applications). Post this, which I assume would be May 2016 onwards, they would start issuing PTs. My assumption is based on the fact that they have updated OINP settlement funds requirement here http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html. The requirement refers to applications that will be submitted after May 6, 2016. For other PNPs you can check this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp.

I am not sure what your IELTS score is. IELTS of the primary applicant plays a very important role in improving CRS score, therefore I would suggest that the primary applicant should target CLB 9 (LRWS - 8777). You can try these values in the calculator here
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp and see for yourself how much of a difference IELTS makes to your CRS score. If there is a scope to improve your IELTS give it a try which will improve your CRS score. If you get a CRS of 465+, you stand a chance to get direct ITA.

Hi Stanlee,

Hope you are doing great! just went through your this post. Me n my wife have applied under express entry for almost an year an half now. My wife Scored (LRWS 8.5-8.5-6.5-7) for her IELTS which seems to be a bit unfortunate as per the requirement of CLB 9. Our Current score stands at 403 & the IELTS Test results gonna expire in September'16. Do you see a way round to this? Please Guide. Thanks.Rohit

Yes, writing score is short by 0.5 to get CLB 9. If it is CLB 9, did you try checking what your score would be? May be you can use this tool to calculate the score http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp.

With 403 you are eligible to receive PT NOI from Ontario. But lately, there has been a temporary hiatus from Ontario in issuing fresh PTs. Looks like they may start again in May. Lets assume that that you get OINP PT NOI in May and you submit all the documents before end of May, OINP will take at least 100 days to get back to you with an AOR and may be another 60-90 days with the nomination. By then, your wife's IELTS would have expired and the profile would become ineligible, so would suggest that you guys retake IELTS now as you may get a date only 1-2 months ahead. Also, if you have not taken IELTS, it would be a good idea to consider taking IELTS. As a co-applicant, you can get up to a maximum of 20 points.
