Need help: Medicals Lost/ Untraceable

Folks, I need some advise from some of you who have gone through this.
Case: Spousal (Wife/Son) Sponsorship through Buffalo.
Buffalo started processing the file on Sep14. Its about 2 months now and there is no sight of medical result. About 4 weeks ago, I visited the consulate to check the status of the case and the lady who I met a the counter told me that there is no medical results in the system. However she was able to see that my son's medical results were received. She asked to call her back in a week and she would try getting some info from Ottawa. However its been 6 weeks now and she still says she has not received a response from the RMC in Ottawa. She does not know what else I need to do. She wants me to wait and I am fearing that the medicals are lost somewhere in their broken CIC system.
Someone's foolish act is causing us a delay in processing our file. I am not sure how long I need to wait since I see people who have applied after us are getting PPR.

Please help.

I had an interesting conversation with the DMP that did my medical in Canada, when we were chatting at the end of the medical. She informed me that their medical practice made copies of all the medical reports that they sent of to the Regional Medical Office. That way if stuff goes missing then they could submit copies. But, that might not be the same for all DMPs as I have not checked the DMPs manual (which is available somewhere on the CIC web site). Of course that does not cover the situation where the form that you are given at the end of the medical goes missing during the application process. Fortunately, nothing went wrong in my case. But the fact that I even had the conversation with the DMP means they must be aware of it happening.

Here is an update. A couple of weeks back I had sent a fax to Ottawa based on one of your suggestions. Since I did not have a fax number, I had only mentioned my email and today they responded back indicating that the medical results were tracked in Ottawa and they have forwarded them to Buffalo. Thank God.

I had started to lose sleep over this. It was really kind of them to respond back in an email. I will keep you guys posted on the next steps.
