Need help/information about Visa extension for spouse and dependent when applying PGWP

I have just graduated from a college for 2 years PBD program (I was not doing any part-time job during my study) and I would like to apply for my PGWP and visa extension for my wife as well as my daughter.

The expiry date of my wife's OWP and my daughter's SP same as my SP's expiry date, which is the end of July 2021. I have 2 questions as below:
1. Since my wife has to take care of my daughter, she never works even though she has an OWP. Can I extend her OWP? if so, what is the requirement? If not, which visa should I extend for her in order to be a guardian for our daughter?

2. when I fill up the questionnaire, should I answer "worker" for this question: What is your family member`s current immigration status in Canada? (even though she never works before)

Thank you in advance for any help/guidance provided to me. Stay healthy and stay safe.

You need to be working in a NOC A, B or 0 role in order to apply for an OWP extension for your spouse. Since you are not working at this time, applying for her OWP extension is not possible at this time. You should apply for your PGWP as soon as you can since you can't start working full time until you submit your PGWP application. If you are not working in a NOC A, B or 0 job by the time your wife's OWP is set to expire, then she will need to apply to change her status to visitor in order to remain in Canada.

@scylla, thank you so much for your information. Can I change my wife's status to visitor at the same I apply for my PGWP (considering I am not working in a NOC A, B or 0 job) today/tomorrow? If so, which form does she need to complete?

Our planning is that I am working in a NOC A, B, or 0 job after my graduation and my wife will still be taking care of my daughter and she will not be working for the next 3 years (the duration of my PGWP), so she doesn't need an OWP.

Sure, you can change her status to visitor now.
