hello,
I need to ask about the chances for getting Trv after renouncing PR. I applied for Trv after renouncing my pr (form imm5782 physically signed and filled with my Trv documents) offline. I recently got a mail from the delhi visa office that they need that form (imm5782) again. I again mailed that scanned form signed and filled (as they said) the same day. I am worried if the form i sent before was misplaced and if it is so i doubt some of other supporting documents can be misplaced too.
kindly help..

Hi,

No, IRCC would not have misplaced your IMM 5782 form and the supporting documents. In any case you must have submitted only copies of these documents, except for a PR card if it is valid.

It's advisable to apply for a TRV after you receive confirmation from IRCC that your application for renouncing your PR has been approved. Not before that

Cheers

Even though you have applied for your TRV, it will be processed only after IRCC determines whether you meet the requirements for renouncing your PR.... and you are approved for Voluntary Renunciation.

Your TRV application will be evaluated like every other TRV applicant to determine whether you have a genuine purpose of visit (a finite, short visit) + strong ties to return to your home/country of residence + personal finances to afford your visit. Your previous PR status will not influence/impact your TRV decision
