Need help in deciding a program

Hi all,

Following in my profile;

MBA IT and Telecom: 72%
B.Tech: 74%
XII: 60%
X: 76%

Work Experience: 1 year, as a Java Developer after finishing my Engineering and 2 and half year experience as a Business Development Manager in a IT company(Currently working here) after MBA.

I am not sure what are my options. Should I go for a SPP college or a University. I want to apply for April/ May intake, already given IELTS and got 7.5 overall(R 8.5, L 8.5, W 6.5 and S 7). No GRE or GMAT given as I don't think I have time to prepare for that. I don't want to delay it till september. I have spoken to some consultants and they say I should go for another MBA or a 2 year masters program, as going for a 1 year PG Diploma in a college will be step down and my application will be rejected. Some say I should apply for PG Diploma as its easier to get admission in a SPP college. I am looking out for a Marketing/ Sales related program and have shortlisted 2(Marketing Research and Analytics, Sales and Account Management) in Centennial college, no idea about the University programs. Please advise, what should I do. Thanks in advance...

Why are you coming to Canada to study? If your ultimate objective is to obtain PR - take another MBA.

For better prospects and opportunities, offcourse. I would have gone for Express Entry, but my experience is only 3 years, I guess not enough to have a decent chance of getting PR. Hence the education way. My biggest concern is getting Visa rejection, as I have already done masters and SPP might not be considered a step in right direction. At the moment i am considering to apply for both SPP College diploma and masters in a University. Let's see things pan out, will explore more into MBA/ Masters option after your recommendation. Thanks...

Hi, I would suggest you to apply for a university masters rather than going to a college. Try for Concordia, Ottawa, Windsor.
