Hi I'm currently trying to start the process to sponser my girlfriend to come to Canada to live with me on a permanent basis. We have been dating for 10 months now and I have visited her for the last 30 days in her country. I cannot stay for a year which would make us common law. Due to financial situations.

I am trying to figure out how I can get
her to Canada either to live with me for a year so we can be common law, Or how to start the conjugal sponsership process. She is a English teacher over here but I don't think her university degrees has any worth in Canada.

We are even willing to go down the open work permit road but don't know where to start ,or what makes someone eligible, Which path would you advice ,and how can we start down this road.

Have lots of pictures and proof of us being in a legitimate relationship.
Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to pay a lawfirm to start the sponsership process since I know tons of people do it somehow from the Canadian government website

I assume you cannot get married?

Has she applied for a TRV yet to visit you in Canada? If not, she needs to do that before you try to conjugal route. If she is able to come here on a TRV, then she can live here a year to become common law so that you can sponsor her through this route.

She is not eligible for an open work permit. She would only be eligible for an open work permit if she was physically in Canada and you had sponsored her for PR as your spouse or common law partner.
