What a great forum it is. I have some issues i need some help/advice on. My situation:
I was an international student. I sent my CEC application in July. they sent me AOR in august. there is no medical yet.the check status site says application received in July 9th.i work as an engineer. My pgwp expires on Feb 6th 2013. the company i work for sent request for LMO to hrsdc in November 20th.i can extend my work permit without having LMO up to November of 2013.just trying to get LMO to be on safe Side.my questions are:

1. I just got married last week.. out of canada. i know i have to notify the immigration about this and send in application. where do i find the guideline for that? how the process goes and how does it work? what is the link?

2. After i send all the documents and application for my wife. it will be added to my application.i am guessing this will delay my application as well.. while it is in process can she apply for tourist visa? or can i bring her to Canada under my work permit as spouse once my work permit has been extended?

3. It has been more than 4 months since they received my application. but no medical yet(unless they have sent it to my home in Canada but dont know as i am not in canada at the moment). is this normal?. in my application i showed 2 job experiences. my current one and previous one. both falls into NOC B.for the first job i could not provide reference letter as the company did not give me any.. even when they promised they will. i tried like 10 times. each time the HR director said she will mail it but never did. so what i did is i explained this situation in a letter attached with the application package to the immigration office.included the job offer letter which indicates my position..salary...benefits...starting date. brief description of my job...also included my last few pay stubs to show till when i worked there. will this work?.or it will create trouble?

Please help

i thank everyone in advance for taking the time in helping me with advice and guideline on these issues. i appreciate it much.

Assuming your application is at CPP-Ottawa:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp
FAQs
Please e-mail us (OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca) in any of the following cases:
You change your marital status
Please quote your complete application number (letter “E”, “EP” or “F” ) followed by eight or nine digits in all correspondence with our office.

Send an email informing them of a change of marital status, and request instructions on how to add your wife to your application. They will tell you what you need to do.

2. After i send all the documents and application for my wife. it will be added to my application.i am guessing this will delay my application as well..

Probably, but you have no choice.

3. It has been more than 4 months since they received my application. but no medical yet(unless they have sent it to my home in Canada but dont know as i am not in canada at the moment). is this normal?.

Yes.

in my application i showed 2 job experiences. my current one and previous one. both falls into NOC B.for the first job i could not provide reference letter as the company did not give me any.. even when they promised they will. i tried like 10 times. each time the HR director said she will mail it but never did. so what i did is i explained this situation in a letter attached with the application package to the immigration office.included the job offer letter which indicates my position..salary...benefits...starting date. brief description of my job...also included my last few pay stubs to show till when i worked there. will this work?.or it will create trouble?

It might. The letter of employment is a key document.

hello jess_on ...i sent email notifying CPP-Ottawa about my marriage and asked for instructions about it. the only reply i got from them is an automated email saying they have recieved my email and it will be forwarded. they also said if the information i am looking for is available online or my application is within normal processing time they wont reply. i am back to canada joined my work but i want to start the process for my wife. is there any link where i can find instruction regarding this matter. also once this is done and we are waiting can she apply for spouse visa based on my TRV/work permit. please help. i really appriciate you experties on this matter. thanks a lot.

They usually sent automatic replies to everyone first, then they'll respond to your question on the next email that they'll send you. It will probably take a week or two for the second email.
