Hello both of you.

Sorry for the delayed response, final exams on the doors :P

OK. So here's the thing, being sponsored by paternal uncle is not something to be scared of. Many people do it. But the successful ones make a genuine case of it. Give them enough info so that they can exactly understand what the situation is. If your parents are not sponsoring, no need to submit any financial documents from your father. Since he is doing business I think he does not have tax certificate I guess.

For your uncle, you need to provide the following:
1. His Tax Certificate. Very important.
2. His balance, fixed assets and everything he can show that shows he is solvent to support you.
3. His notarized oath.

There is no number for the bank balance that will give you visa. University of Manitoba is reputed university so that's a plus point. Give all your certificates. Notarized. Write a nice statement of purpose explaining everything nicely (Visa officer will read this if he finds your case dubious, so make sure you clear out everything there).

This is what I have in my bag for you now. If you have any questions go ahead. Best of luck and congrats.
