Questions:
1. What are the chances for getting the visitor visa?
2. Do I have to mention in the application anywhere regarding my UK visa refusal and overstay although it's been 15 years?
3. What is the current procession time?
4. Last question but it should be the first one, my friend has recently sponsored his In-laws and they got visa last month. So, can he sponsor me now or wait for 6 months? (Not sure about this question but heard from someone that a person can sponsor every 6 months)
Thanks so much in advance.
1. What are the chances for getting the visitor visa? Nobody can answer this but you can take it at 50-50 and it is mostly based on luck these days and not the merit of your documents. [ Google Chinook for TRV ]
2. Do I have to mention in the application anywhere regarding my UK visa refusal and overstay although it's been 15 years? You absolutely have to and given the history there is a small risk with your application in my opinion.
3. What is the current procession time? Can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6+ months. It is very random.
4. Last question but it should be the first one, my friend has recently sponsored his In-laws and they got visa last month. So, can he sponsor me now or wait for 6 months? (Not sure about this question but heard from someone that a person can sponsor every 6 months) Your friend cannot sponsor anyone to visit. All he can do is write an invitation letter which he can for you too. It is of no value add as every applicant over 18 have to show their own funds, justify purpose of visit demonstrate home ties.
Good Luck
