Need Help for 0621

Hi Seniors,

Need to know if 0621 need more then 1 year of experience. I am currently working for Storage Mart, AS Assistant manager from last one year and not sure whether I am still eligible or not for Express entry profile.

Abstract from HRSDC website""

Employment requirements

- Completion of secondary school is required.
- A university degree or college diploma in business administration or other field related to the product or service being sold may be required.
- Several years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are usually required.""

Now I wanna know according to above statement if I still need to have more then one year experience or not.

The “Employment Requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description are not applicable.

I guess the same goes for FSW. However, in order to apply for Express entry your work experience has to be at least 12 months, in NOC 0,A,B.

Your are eligible to apply for express entry! What that statement means is one does not become a manager directly without few years of exp gained as an associate/cashier/ supervisor. So, they are talking about the transition time to become a manager.

what was the outcome of your application? did you apply with NOC 0621 as primary NOC and use 1 year experience as your described? I am in a similar situation and looking forward to hear from you.

@johnny123, my duties and responsibilities match with NOC 0621. However, I worked for about 1.5 years (Jan. '15 - Feb. '16) while studying towards my undergraduate degree (Jan. '15 - Dec. '18). Since the minimum requirement is high school completion, would this affect my chances in any way? Any suggestions is much appreciated. Have you heard of any refusals or successful stories with similar background (i.e. experience earned in 0621 or managerial roles before first degree earned)?

Also, the NOC description states that "A university degree or college diploma in business administration or other field related to the product or service being sold may be required." Is a college course in business administration mandatory for 0621? I took Accounting and Intro. to Bus. courses in college while I was working in NOC 0621 and prior to this, I only took an Accounting course in high school, would these be enough in place of this requirement?
