Need Help---filed Work Permit Extension and have to leave Canada

HI All,

I just filed my work permit extension on 18 Oct 2012 CIC is showing processing time is around 58 Working days so I am expecting to get my WP around January end but I have to go my base country for my marriage on 10 Jan

Question

Is it possible to re-enter Canada if I leave Canada without getting my WP or to expedite processing time to get work permit before 10 jan

Hi Pradeep,

If you have valid Work permit and Visa, you can come back while your application in process, you did not mentioned your Work Permit validity,
as per my concern you should come back before your validity WP.

So is it possible to re-enter Canada if I leave Canada without getting my new WP
OR
to expedite processing time to get work permit before 10 January

What if you don't get work permit extension approval?

As your visa is going to be expired on October 31, 2012, I think you need new work permit in order to apply for visa.

Hi Pradeep,

You can stay here because u already applied for renewal work permit, you suppose to apply earlier, but with out WP or Visa you can not come back,
hopefully you will get january first week, then you can go and apply for Visa in india and come back, i m not sure whether you can go or not while your application processing. some one will help you out.
