I am in a really tricky situation in selecting the University for which I will be applying for study permit. I have shortlisted two offers:
1. University of Victoria Masters Computer Science. But the University provided me a document along with the offer letter which states that the length of study is from Sept 2014 to Sept 2015 (min) or Sept 2019 (max). So I think in this case I may get Study permit of only 1 year and later on even a PGWP of only 1 year. But on the official page of UVic the length of the program is stated as 12 to 16 months.
2. University of Manitoba Masters Computer Science. Here the program duration is 2 years. But UVic's CS department is ranked much higher than UoM.
I had planned to try and get a study permit of 2 years and after that a PGWP of 3 years. Which University would be better to go for Masters. Please help. Thank you.
