Need help and suggestion : It's urgent

I am Indian seeking refugee asylum in Canada is anybody can please guide me what process I will have to go through .
What is the first thing I have to do when I arrive and to whom should I contact and please tell me how can I contact a lawyer as I read somewhere that you will need a lawyer.

Please tell me if which category I have to apply visa from India and what all things I need to board a flight .

I am in problem . i fear from bullies and the tried to attacked me. They tried to abuse my wife physically and when I oppose them, they brutally beat me.

Also my daughter is unable to see with one eye and as per doctors they don't have cure for that. But I need to consult a doctor time to time for her second eye to prevent it.

thats the main reason and fear . because of my family and danger from people i am getting huge depression and stress day by day. my freedom is gone . i cant even sleep . my parents are old age , i dont want to bother them or want them to face any kind of problem .

I have to do this so please guide me all the process I have to do on my arrival on Indian airport I am totally clueless that how Airport security will react to a person who is seeking directly without proper document.

what documents i will be needed in future when my case in process ?

what should i say refugee claim , asylum seeker or protection ? what is my case at glance

i know canada is very nice country . but what are success rate of case like mine . is it make difference in what part of canada i arrive . sorry for my bad english .

Generally speaking, it can be quite difficult to claim asylum in Canada if you are from India. To claim asylum, you must either travel to Canada on a TRV (tourist visa) and claim asylum once you arrive here. Note that you won't be able to board an airplane to Canada without an approved TRV. To be approved for a TRV, you must show that you have strong ties to India (employment, property ownership, assets, etc.) and have no plans on remaining in Canada long term. Or you must move out of India to another country, be recognized as a refugee there by UNHCR and hope that UNHCR selects you for resettlement in Canada. If you follow this second option, the chances are low that UNHCR will specifically select Canada for your resettlement.

It's not clear whether you have a strong case to claim refugee status. Why are these bullies targeting you? Did you report this incident to the police? What was the outcome of the police involvement?

Your daughter's medical issue is not valid reason to claim asylum.

Bullies are targeting me just because I oppose them to eve tease of my wife and also police is not support us as that bullies have strong political connections as well.Now they eve tease my wife and threat her that they will kill me or kidnap my daughter. Is protection of my family and getting them away is not my Right. Being one of the safest country I choose Canada.

have you tried to move to other parts of India where the bullies cannot get you?
you mentioned you do not have proper documents, do you have a valid passport? To come to Canada you would have to apply for a visitor visa. They will not let you board a flight to Canada at the airport if you do not have a visa.

It's true what everyone say that claiming asslyum is quite low because ircc and orb consider India a stable country

I'm sorry to hear that you are depressed, I know mental health isn't taken as seriously as it should be in India.....I know I am Punjabi.

From my short experience on here the people who are telling you bluntly and not sugar coating it are actually helping you the most. It is not easy to claim asylum in Canada, it is not easy to do it from India as India is a safe country, it is also not easy to get a transit visa to come to Canada if you do not have strong ties to your home country. So as others have said your first step is to get a trv to Canada, without that you will not be able to board a plane.

What is your background, education levels? Check to see if you qualify to come to Canada based on economic streams.

Your case for claiming asylum in Canada is very very weak. If you wish to immigrate to Canada, I would strongly recommend you look into apply for an economic immigration program such as Express Entry.

You do not have any valid reasons for an asylum claim. Once your asylum claim is rejected, you will find it incredibly difficult to get visas to most countries for the rest of your life.

There are bullies everywhere and one must not tolerate bullying. That said:
1. What provoked these bullies to assault you?
2. Did you complain to the police or a social organization? If yes, was an FIR filed? And a chargesheet prepared?
3. Have you tried to move to another part of the city where you live (the guys you described seem to be local goons)?
4. Were you admitted to a hospital for assault injuries?
5. And if you were, it would most certainly be accompanied by/on the recommendation of the police. BTW treatment at a private hospital won't help. Injuries for physical assault must be treated at a government hospital + you must have evidence for the treatment and the police FIR.


Attempting to physically abuse your wife and assaulting you physically are not reasons to claim asylum.

Agreed that Delhi is not one of the safest cities for women. But, you have the choice to move to another part of Delhi (which is a big city) or back to Kanpur or even to a new city. There's nothing stopping you from leaving Delhi.
