nope they rejected it.... gave my my passport back because i didnt fill out the schedule 1 application correctly. i told them this is very important for me to go and i have to go urgently. visa officer was like she will talk to her manager and see if they can give me the permit and which is not a visa.. i dunt no what is the difference between permit and visa. she is like they have sent my record for background check and its up to the program manager in uae to decide whether i will be allowed to travel or not and she was like i mite get a ban too for misinformation. i dont know what to do.. i didnt expect this.. i never liked canada now i hate it more.

I really think if you filled out the schedule 1 properly you would have received the Visa. If all information you provided to us is correct, I would have thought you out of all people posting would have received the visa - you've got a lot of great information for your return to your home country. Fingers crossed for you that they will be able to work something out, if not then re-do the schedule one and send it in again.

It was your mistake that you did not fill out schedule 1 application correctly. I think they understand very well, it's important and you have a good reason to go there. Permit is better than Visa. Did you give any misinformation? If yes then explain. Visa officer will talk about your case to senior officer in UAE. I am sure, you will go to see your wife in Canada. 8)

yes i understand itscoezy what u r saying. everyone thought i will get the visa easily.. in schedule 1 form on top it says past 10 year history of employment. i am only 23 and i started working when i was 20 and thats what i mentioned. but in there it also says that if u werent working u need to mention who were u living under and all. my dad was taking care of me and i shud have had mentioned his address and details. and he was in canada from 2003 till 2006 he applied for refugee immigration but he didnt get it so he came back without overstaying or anything. now they r lke u shud have mentioned ur dad's address and everything which u didnt because u didnt wanna tell he was living in canada. well honestly speaking i didnt understand the schedule 1 application properly i didnt even write about my universtiy in Dubai because its asking for only employment history. but when the visa officer asked me in interview about my dad and all i told her everything honestly nd than she was like u wanted to hide it b4. i find it very harsh from them and she is like since u gave us misinformation she will speak to senior manager that they give me a ban and might give me permit to travel only this time. but its up to senior manager. i told her i didnt mean anything to hide. i told her also that in application i have stated that i applied in 2007 and it got rejected which i mentioned in application but she didnt wanna listen anything nd gave me my passport back. she also said she is rejecting my application.

Now i dont understand 2 things. At the end she was like we understand that u have to goto ur wife and wanna b there for ur first child and we will look into it. We will send ur information for background check and senior program manager will decide to give u the ban or not and also the permit. If we need ur passport we will email u. if they were still considering why wud they give me my passport back?
Is that a good thing? do i still have a hope or they are just deciding whether to give me a ban or not? i told her i dunt care about the ban as i m not planning to move their for another 2-3 years i just wanna go there next month to b with my family.
and ashokcan i understand what u r saying but i ma normal human and human make mistakes it doesnt mean that i deserve to get this kind of treatment from them. she was like i have low income salary and u have strong ties to Canada nd i replied to her very str8 forward that its not like someone is waiting for a job or with a bag full of money in Canada for me... i have to work there just like i have to work here and i would prefer to work here as i have my family here and i have no problem living here. there is nothing special for me in Canada than she gave me a wierd look. i think thats what ticked her off.

Whats the difference between permit and visa?

Awe, i feel so bad. I think you should try and apply again.. Someone on these message boards said that you can re-apply right away. you don't have to wait. Just add all the information in your application that you were missing. They probably called you into the interview because they knew about your dad. I doubt they will do it again if you add all the information. And you probably won't even get the same person reviewing your file. Did they give you a timeframe, are they going to get back to you either way in regards to what your outcome will be of getting this permit?
The permit and the visa are essentially the same thing, both will allow you to go. The permit allows you to go just for the specific reason you are stating in your application, at least thats what a couple of websites online say.
With a savings of 10,000 USD... i don't see why they even said you have low income. Actually, I am Canadian, and I have never had 10,000 USD saved lol. So you are doing better than me (I'm 24)

Let us know the outcome, and i strongly recommend reapplying if they can't get u this permit and give them more information then they ask for. You can never have too much information. :)

well she hasn't sent me the official email of rejection yet. she said she is still gonna check with program manager and get back to me. the background check takes couple of weeks. now i cant apply until i get the official result of this application until than i just have to sit and wait and my wife is due in 4 weeks. freaking amazing stuff eh? i m soo pissed off that i regret sending my wife back there.

=( I really hope they understand your situation. I would not like that job, if one person gave me a situation similar to this one, i'd put them thru no questions asked. But that's why i'm not working there i guess. lol.

I think it was a good choice to send your wife back to Canada to have the baby, it'll be best for the baby and best for her in terms of the medical care and costs. But i know what you mean, it's your first and you wanna be there. Even if it's your 5th, you'd wanna be there.

Fingers Crossed, Goodluck!!

I would definnnnnitely send the application in again with the correct details. Honestly, that's the only reason that they denied you right... and they didnt give you a ban or anything. Definitely apply again. There was one guy that said to apply again even if you dont have different information as the visa officers only have45 seconds on average to look at an application, and it might be someone different who is looking at your application as well.

I think u have a chance... it's worth a shot. the worst that can happen is they will deny you again. but if i were in your position, I would take that chance.

Goodluck :)

Yes, you will have to submit absolutely everything you submitted the first time (along with anything else you can add). Follow the instructions again as if you've never submitted an application before, as you don't want to prolong the process by them requesting the information.

Please keep us posted. I really hope this time it works for you...

Also - someone posted previously to include a cover letter of anything you want to further explain.

Just give them as much stuff to work with as possible.

Eek, excited for you

Shelly
