NEED HELP/ADVICE PLZ

hey.. so this my case right now. im currently in Canada reg for classes at the U OF R here.. i have a valid study permit till july 2013, but no re entry visa.. something came up nd i have to fly to Libya to attend family, i cant apply here ND send my docs to the US cuz it takes 4 weeks i don't have that time , i was wanting to go for sept 24 till oct 9 nd then come back to school so i can finish my sem.. my question is can i leave Canada nd apply at Tunis at the embassy there. if so how long does it take?? do u think the visa officer there can speed my case when i apply? what kind of doc ? do i need a medical exam ? cuz thats one of there requests ?? im sooo lost do i jst provide them with my current enromlent at the school or can i print off the unofficial transcripts.. :/

If you have a study permit valid till 2013, then its not a big problem, just arrange a deferal letter from your university, do your work and then reapply for the re-entry.
By the way in which program your are enrolled? and whats the job situation in Regina for students.

I think I'm gonna take the risk nd do this, I'm just worried about the time it will take in. Tunis or if there going to get me to do the medical exam .

Nd my friend I'm in business at u of regina , nd jobs are everywhere I u know where to apply on campus nd off campus great place fir students here only bad part is the cold .

Well you are an international student and any emergency can occur in your home country so what can you do in this situation?, just write a letter of an excuse that you can not attend this semester due to whatever the reason you may have and then asked them to defer you for next available semester.
Since you already have a study permit valid till 2013, so there should be no problem in reentering.

Anyway I have some questions for you too, actually I also applied in M.Admin program in UoR and I am still waiting for my admission letter from the department.
I like to know few things from you,
Are jobs easily available for international students.
Can you make enough to pay for your living( you know food and accommodation)
Are accommodations available near campus? and at what cost.

@fahad ..We are in the same boat..I applied for the MHRM program and my full documents reached them on the 18th of july and since Than my status is still Pending faculty review... Through people on the forum i have an idea that UoR people take alot of tyme to review applications but 2 of my friends got rejections within 1 month...I dnt know when im going to get any reply from their side..I applied for the Jan 2012 intake and i fear incase ENSHAAALLAH if i get an acceptance than they take about 20 days for offer letter to be mailed and i will be late with my visa application....since it takes 3 months to get visa from Pakistan..But from the people i think the chances of getting the offer letter from regina are not tht bright!!..

@libya2010....Plzz Can you tell that how many months do they take to even give a decision..Im thinking to apply to some other uni or college since the regina people are taking so much tyme..Lyk some people got rejections in a month...since you are a business student thr..Can you plz tell how much more longer would they take as time is running out..?

I dont think its a wise choice to take two weeks leave when you are moving from one country to another.
So if you wanna take a leave just skip the semester and join the next one, lot of my friends did it for financial reasons.
So its not a big deal i suppose then again its your own choice.

saad from which city are you from, and what are your qualifications.
I applied in April and my qualifications are BBA(3YRS) MBA(2YRS) work experience more then 3 YRS.
And I am still waiting for response from them you know some times I even curse my self why the hell I applied in UoR, I should've picked some other university now I have no choice but to wait.

@fahad....I have applied from Karachi and YOU?..My qualifications are BBA(H) 4 years with majors in HRM and MBA 2 years with Majors in Advertising & Marketing...Work experience of almost 4 years in the HRM with a 7.0 band in ielts department at MATCO rice.....The company which produces and markets Flak rice and several other products......Yaar I searched for programs nd i have lots of frnds in canada they told me to apply in other universities as well...But my bad i kept on waiting for UoR...York has the same MHRM program but its bloody expensive thts y i didnt apply thr....Coz even if i got admission letter from york i would not have been able to pay the fees so it was no use...Now i think i should apply at Thompson river Uni in British Columbia for next year coz Regina people i dnt think even if they reply now it will be of no use coz from sources i got to know that since my full documents reached them on the 18th of july so it wud by October 19 i wud get an answer tht is acceptance or rejection but I Dnt have high hopes now from them Coz they take almost 25 days to mail the offer letter nd it will be too late to apply for visa which takes 3 months...So im thinking tht Since i have ample tyme for Thompson River for next intake..I should wait and apply thr at my own will.

@fahad Plus I read in one of ur posts that you already got Rejected for MPA at UoR???....If thts da case you should really be cursing urself..Coz if I were YOu...I would have never applied again at the UoR if i knew tht they take ages to reply nd Dan they Reject You for no good reason...Since Few of my frnds got replies within a month..I thot they wud do the same for me But Not the case...My frnds who applied at thompson river 1 has already got offer letter nd is about to apply for visa and the other one who applied at Simon fraser has already landed in canada....After the reply from Regina now im planing to apply to Thompson River...SFU and U of Sacks for the next September intake whr i will have ample tyme for this application review time and since my Ielts is also valid till 2013. Which university did u graduate from nd wats ur Cgpa in BBA and MBA??..Plus wat reason did they give u for rejection in MPA???

In my first rejection they assessed my application within a month and the reason they gave me is,they didn't shortlisted my application due to high number of applicants. :'(

The reason I reapplied is because the MPA program which university offers cost around 10000 dollars, and its the most cheapest university program available that why I thought that may be due to this reason they rejected my application, So I applied in another program M.Adim but this time they didn't send me the letter and I am still waiting.

By the way I am from Karachi university and I live in Karachi.
If I didn't get the letter next I am planning to apply in Dalhousie University.

Ohh thts Good to know..Wat was ur cgpa at KU?? in BBA nd MBA??...Coz Diz reason mostly dese idiots give when to people whos met awl the criteria but the cgpa is just at par...Dey give this standard reply..tht huge number of applicants blah blah!!!....Which program wil u apply in dalhousie ??? nd wats the deadline ???....I thot they would ave given me a reply within a month but i dnt really know wat thr upto...nd yeah another thingy the thing is after doyn MBA when you apply in programs lyk MPA...ITs a big study mismatch and public adminstration they consider ur resume alot...So dey give diz standard reply...I also dnt have high hopes with the acceptance at UoR coz my working experience is mostly with my studies only 1.5 years after my MBA..But lets see wen these lazy people wake up...But now im thinking to apply in a PGD as they dnt take ages to review PGD applications.

I passed in 1st division and my CGPA is 3.3 in BBA and 3.1 in MBA.
I completed my BBA & MBA in Marketing and doing a job in MNC for the last 3 YRS in Sales & Marketing, this is the main reason I applied in MPA.
I am planning to apply in Dalhousie University but the problem is their next session starts on Sep 2012 and I dont wanna wait that long.
You know UoR and UoS are pretty much only universities that have 3 intakes a year this is also another reason why I reapplied.

See thats whr the problem lies.....Your credentials are not fit for MPA...u shud have applied directly into M. Admin coz u fully meet the criteria in every sense...but MPA is for those people who ave work experience in public administration nd who dnt they just reject on this foolish reason tht number of applicants ...I am also expecting the same reason if incase they reject me coz of experience is with my studies nd after my studies its 1.5 years...So thts y i also dnt ave high hopes nd coz of the time they ave taken...Plus most of the uni have winter intake....But im just too late and i should ave applied with UoR to other universities and my bad i didnt for it now So i guess when i get a decision i wud apply for the 2012 sep intake for which i will ave time as well...But bro im hoping u get into M.Admin since they ave already wasted $100 of urs and ur time as well...I regret not applying to other universities with UoR..But lets see wat the future is like..I hope ENSHAAALLAH we both get in...So tht We can Take the same flight to Regina ENSHAAALLAH nd if not dan lets see wats the next thing!!
