I got an additional document requirement for proof of employment of a former job. Because I don't claim any point from the job, I didn't add it to my work history; instead, I just added it to my personal history.

It's been many years, the company is already gone and I can't find my former superior. My problem is, if I fail to provide the proof of employment and just write a LOE about the situation, will my application be refused?

Don’t you have things like paystubs, salary deposits into your account, or e-mail communications? Adding these to your LOE could help your case.

When was this request made?

Unfortunately, no... I don't keep any of the stuff you mentioned. So I want to know if anyone has been in the same situation. Will LOE alone work?

The request was made a week ago and the deadline is 3 months later.

And if by any chance, I could find a former coworker and ask him to write a reference letter, does the letter need to include all the elements? I mean, the company letterhead and contact information, job title, responsibilities, etc.
