Need help a little confused interview case NDVO spousal visa

My husband had a interview yesterday at new delhi visa office
Interview lasted for an hour
Officer asked limited questions and was willing to listen only limited answers like very rare explaination on answers
Checked no proofs and bills at all
Just checked 1 or 2 photos
All questions were answered correctly
Then officer told to take the passport and NDVO will contact us via email and also mentioned no decision has been made yet,interview was held to get more information about the wedding
My question is that i have heard that if the officer is not satisfied in interview the application is rejected same time and passport is handed back with a rejection letter
In other case they return the passport without making any decision at that moment bcz they want to investigate more on the file and then issue a visa.
So kindly share your experiences

From my experience, most of the time if the interviewer refuses to look at your proofs, and asks few questions, and then says "We will contact you in a couple weeks", it's usually a refusal. Also you mentioned she wasn't friendly, so that can't be a good sign for you. However, each interview is different, and you'll have to wait to see.
