Hello everyone!

I need some help on a complicated situation. I am 20 years old and i was born and still living in Quebec Canada. My boyfriend is from Haiti and hes been living here for a year and a half. He has a visitors visa, but it has expired. Within the year that hes been here, him and his ex girlfriend (also born and raised in quebec canada) had a son (hes 6 months old now).
He is the soul caregiver to hes son, what can he do to stay in canada?
Can he apply for a workers visa without leaving?
Does it make a difference that he has a son born in Quebec?

We need some help, it would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Having a son born in Canada will not do anything for him. Applying for a work permit, he will have to leave Canada to get it issued. Also, you can marry him and sponsor him to stay.

If you do an in-canada sponsorship, normally it takes around 6 months to get a work permit, 12 to 18 to get PR but since he's been illegal in Canada, it's possible it could take longer.
