NEED Guidelines for IELTS General Training.

Hi to PMM and this forum seniors,
I regularly read this forum. I got AOR on April 15, 2010 by CIO Sydeny. I am on H1B in California.
I applied under 0213 NOC.

I have question that what is IELTS General Training examination. CIC ask me to go for IELTS General training examination.
can I have ot score some level of IELTS in this General Training IELTS examinaion. I totaly dont know about it.
even its Paper base means?
I have some days to submit it.
Aor starts with : *BXXXXXXX1*

please guide me on IELTS General training examination.

According to recent changes, its no longer a matter, whether General IELTS or Academic, both are valid for Canadian Immigration.

thanks for prompt respond , I know the link and center info, but I dont know that how much score I need to clear, just they mentioned to appeared for IELTS General training examinations only. I am in the USA so for me w w w . i e l t s u s a . o r g

just certificate is ok or need some points of score lile 2 , 4 6 etc.... or in this exams there are no point score systems?

anyone from USA or another country person can guide me, my complete score including english language 67 point, and I requested for:

USA FBI clearance, Indian PCC from USA consulate, another EU countries PCC, IELTS General Training examination but they not wrote anywhere that how much band I needed to complete language part points.
can you PMM QAROX any SR.Members can guide me.

Dear Friend,

This is point based immigration system. You need to score at least 67 point to qualify.

There are maximum 16 point for IELTS, the better you get result in IELTS exam , more you get point for immigration.

IELTS exam is taken in four parts,
1. Speaking
2. Reading
3. Writing
4. Listening

The overall band of IELTS is 9.

7 Band may be High. 5.5 is an average and 4..5 is basic......

IELTS exam is taken by British council, UK and IDP, Australia......

Please search on internet about "IELTS exam date- British council" by Google website, you will get more details...

How much score are you required to get? a 16 means you have to score at least 6.5 in all bands, except for listening which has to be 7.5.

It will be easy if you are from English speaking country....You should take dummy test and do some practice....

what we can use to write answer means Pencils or black ball pen? OR they will provide us something to write.
thanks for guide. I never appeared for IELTS before. my center is Santa monica California, anyone have any idea about this center.

they provide you all the required stationary, which includes pencil, pen, eraser etc. listening and reading have to be done with pencil while writing you can do with pencil or pen, ur choice.

thanks, my total points we count as English (higher) and applied, now I got AOR from sydeny CIO, I have to submit.

FBI clearance report from USA (I'm in the USA)
Indian PCC
Italian PCC(kind of police clearance)
Fund proof (total $17k)
IELTS.

my question is my points I calculate when apply is 67 points with english as we speak english as high. but if I dont get high score in IELTS then I can apply for next steps or can I send all docs to embassy with less some IELTS score. my lawyer told me score would be 6.5 avg and in liestning 7.5 needed.
any option if we get less bands and it will calculate 67 points?
