Need Guidance with Immigration

Hello All,

Please forgive me if this is not the procedure to post a query but I need guidance on Canada Immigration from all the experts in this forum.

I'm from India, I've an overall experience of 2.5 years in Customer Service and I'm working as a Team Lead with one of the most famous online retailers in the world. We had a kid recently so my wife isn't working currently, but she too has a overall experience of 2.8 years in teaching field. She use to take classes for Graduates and Post Graduates in an PG college. We both have done our Masters in Business Administration. We are planning to move to Canada and thinking to apply for PR.

1. Which is the best consultancy to approach for PR?
2. What are our chances of getting the VISA and how soon?
3. Is our professions suitable to get a job in Canada? Whom should we opt as dependent when applying of PR so that our application is processed quickly?
4. How quickly can we get a job in Canada? How are the openings in Canada and which place is best suitable for us depending upon our work experience?
5. I have seen cases where either one gets the PR, I want to avoid this and see that we both get a PR same time. What should I be doing?

Your expertise in this would be much appreciated. Waiting for all the suggestions.

Thanks..

Hi

Based on my personal views please find my thoughts

1. Which is the best consultancy to approach for PR?

In India you have many like Opulentuz, YAxis and many more who help in immigrations. Which is Best, is a relative question I think. However you can research on net for this.

2. What are our chances of getting the VISA and how soon?

Till previous years it was like 8-9 months. For this cycle I am not sure.
3. Is our professions suitable to get a job in Canada? Whom should we opt as dependent when applying of PR so that our application is processed quickly?

As a principle applicant, you profession must be included in the list published by CIC, you can search it on web. However in general profiles are decent enough for you.

4. How quickly can we get a job in Canada? How are the openings in Canada and which place is best suitable for us depending upon our work experience?

This is again a relative question with no absolute answer to this. Moreover I am not sure what is your area of work. As a principal applicant its important to know for your work/skill demand.

5. I have seen cases where either one gets the PR, I want to avoid this and see that we both get a PR same time. What should I be doing?

I would suggest one of you to be as a principal applicant and other can join one and then can find job there

Please bear in mind that these are my opinions and your final decision ideally must be based on facts and evidences. I am also on the lookout for same set of questions.Hope this help you somewhere.

Thanks

Notice – Changes to the Federal Skilled Worker Program

March 1, 2013 – With new criteria for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) set to take effect in May, many prospective immigrants may already be preparing to apply.

However, future FSWP applicants should be aware that CIC expects to announce three important elements of the FSWP in April that will have an impact on the application process, including:
•a cap on the number of applications that will be accepted in the first year;
•a new list of priority occupations; and
•the organizations that will be designated to conduct educational assessments.

Applicants who prepare their application before this information is announced do so at their own risk. Applications that do not meet the criteria that will be announced in April will not be processed.

On December 19, 2012, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced significant changes to the FSWP. In addition, the Minister announced that the new FSWP would be opened up for applications on May 4, 2013. A pause on applications, except for those from certain PhD students and those supported by a qualifying job offer, has been in place since July 1, 2012.

Hi vinavinay,

First of all you need to wait for right time to apply for PR. You can expect in mid of the year (may or june). Before this you need to research a lot to fit your occupation category for applying (or your spouse can be a Primary applicant)

Regarding consultant, my advise is that this forum is the best consultant I have ever seen till now. I have applied with the help of this forum and you can see my profile status on left side. Major of the consultant will suck your money and will be just a dumb messanger for application.

You need to have patience for all this process.

Wish you all the best

Regards
