Could you help me in figuring out some low Budget and good Universities for MBA which require both Work Ex and GMAT Exam ??

Actually I am confused between Course based masters ( M.Engg in IT related stream like S/W Engg ) or MBA for fall 13 Intake ?

Profile : My B.Tech is in Electronics and Work Exp is in IT Company ( >2 years in Testing Domain - SAP: Enterprise Resource planning/Sales and Distribution/Sales Order Management) so what would be ideal choice for me - M.Engg or MBA

Note: I don't want to go in Research or Core Technical Line'and that's why i listed above - Course based masters only i.e. M.Engg

For M.Engg I am left with M.Engg in Software Engg as I am not liking the M.Engg in Electrical and Computer Engg program modules but again even for S/W Engg course, I might have to take up some Pre-requisite Courses which would consume my time and money both. The other Programs are like Masters of Engg Management or Technology Management for which I am not sure.

Please help ASAP in figuring the two Degree programs ( MBA vs M.Engg) as time is running out !!!!!

Hi,

It's entirely up to you.. and what do you really want? Technical or Management line? Ask yourself honestly..and you will find the answer. . Besides, both are good options.

Best of Luck.

@Tiger

Any guidance over some reputed and Low budget Universities for MBA ??

I have heard that after M.Engg , prospects are confined to just technical field unlike MBA. Is it correct ??

What would you have opted if you were me after this Profile

Hi,
Some of the prominent recognized universities with low tuition fees/ cost of studies, especially for graduate level are:
Memorial University
University of Manitoba
University of Saskatchewan
University of New Brunswick
University of Regina
University of Prince Edward Island
St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia
Acadia University, NS

Some of the above may have limited graduate level programmes available, and so it is best that you go through this list of recognized Universities/colleges, participating under OCWP & PGWP.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp
Check websites of individual universities..and compare tuition fees and costs for yourself !

Also, if you qualify, you may get scholarships/ funds/Graduate Teaching Assistantship in some of the upper level universities.

Anywhere you go, demand for skilled people in technical professions (all technical trades, Engineers etc.), medical related professionals (Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists etc.),occupations related to numbers (Actuarial science experts, Mathematicians, Statisticians, Professional accountants, Financial engineers etc.),and scientific research based occupations (Scientists, Phds, Scientific Researchers at very high level) are and will always be there. Anyone can enter management field with or without MBA or do MBA (of course with proper quantification, work ex etc.)... but not every Manager has technical/mathematical/medical or Scientific expertise.

Best of Luck.

Hi,
I've completed my B.E in Electronics and telecommunication this year securing 65% average.
10th- 93%
12th- 88%
No backlogs.
I am applying for the Database Application Developer course in Seneca college for the Jan '13 intake.
Other option provided to me being Lambton college (Although it's a 2 year course the reviews for the college are very bad) The course they are providing is a Graduate certificate course in IT and web design.
* I want opinions of people who have gone to either colleges and/or the corresponding courses.
* I want to know whether the change in streams from EXTC to IT will pose a threat to get a visa.
* Are Job opportunities available for these courses?
Kindly help. Thanks
