Just wanted to clarify something, if we are being sponsored by a Canadian citizen, would that mean that if my son is inadmissible due to health grounds, he is exempted on excessive demands right? Because we just recently got s notification from the officer who's I guess handling our file which says:

"in order to determine that you are not inadmissible due to the inadmissibility of a family member, the family member/s you have listed on the application are required to undergo immigration examination pursuant to the Immigration and refugee protection act and regulations, regardless of whether or not they have been included for concurrent processing for permanent residence. The VO Manila will be contacting your family member/s for further instructions."

> is this a medical request for my dependent? Thank u in advance!

Yes, he is exempt from Excessive Demand, meaning he cannot be refused if he has a costly condition. However, a person can still be inadmissible on the grounds that they are a danger to public health, such as a person with TB. For Family Class apps, this doesn't mean a refusal; it means that the app is placed on hold while the person undergoes treatment and then becomes admissible.

Though I'm not sure if that's actually a medical request, you should have your dependents undergo the medical as soon as you can anyways.
