My guess is that he legally divorced you in Canada and is therefore married legally. He could have divorced you in Canada once you were separated for a year.

Anyway, you choice what you do.

IMO it would be better to save your money and move on given all of this happened more than 15 years ago.

HE DIdnt divorce me in canada he was just simply converted to islam and marry a muslim girl in our country
