Hi, I am an American Citizen married to an Canadian Citizen. I am currently residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba with my husband and my application to become a permanent resident has been in process for over a year now. They are making us redo alot of paperwork some they have lost. But meanwhile I wanted to know if I am able to attend school on my visitors visa. If the School is free and will let me attend does that mean I am being authorized to do so? And do I have to inform Canadian Immigration? Thanx so much.

Unless you are PR of Canada , you need to apply for a study permit, otherwise it breaks the rules.Visitor visa is not for any other purpose than visiting the country.

Apply for a study permit ,it takes only a little time.

You are wrong. If course is 6 months or less than that you don't need study permit. You can attend school on basis of your visitor visa.

You can't without a study permit. Without a study permit, you are risking being removed from Canada and banned for studying illegally. You don't want to end up with a ban - tihs will create big problems for your sponsorship application.

So either get a study permit or stop studying. Those are your legal choices.
