need advise about interview location

Hi,

I am about to submit my application to FSW 2014 and need to choose a visa office for my application.

I am currently in the US and indicate my current residency is in the US on the application form. But I plan to move back to China (my nationality is China) in 6 weeks and I want to submit my application before I move.

No doubt if I choose Ottawa as my visa office, I will expect to be interviewed in the US (if requested). This is risk as I will need to apply visitor visa to come back to the US at that time.

Now if I choose visa office in China, do you think I will still be called to interview in the US just because I indicate my current residency is in the US? Appreciate anyone's advise who submit(ted) application in a country not of this nationality but choose visa office in the country of his/her nationality.

They will process your application and call you for interview in whatever visa office you choose (either country of origin or residence). If you will be in China, then it's best to choose a visa office there.
