He doesn't require a study permit, as elementary school doesn't start to the age of 6 in Canada. A SP is not required for kindergarten.

How about for elementary? Because I'm planning to work in Canada at least for 5 years. Therefore by that time my son would be going to school in Canada.

When he is ready to go to school, then you apply for study permit. (Some school districts will allow an elementary student to study without a SP)
