Need advice with TRV renewal

Hi,

I have just recently submitted my application for TRV renewal for both my wife and myself. Our TRV expired last March however we still have valid permits till October. We sent for renewal just last week however, we had some family emergency that require her to go back to Malaysia earlier than our plan. So my question is, since we will need to send our passport together for visa stamp, it will take significant amount of time to get her passport mailed to me then I mail our passport together to Ottawa for stamping. I need to get back to Malaysia as well in a month so I am afraid that I won't have enough time. So, do any of you have any experience transferring application submitted within Canada to Visa office in Malaysia/Singapore? Or is it possible to get our application processed in Canada but get the TRV stamped in Malaysia instead? You advice will be greatly appreciated!

We understand your situation, For your kind information official website of Government of Canada have all the answer for questions regarding TRV whereas, We will suggest you to complete an application in help center of Government of Canada website under Immigration tab and the help center will soon be responding you back. Rules and regulations regarding VISA are strict and can't be taken easy so we would suggest you to get directly in contact with them as their information is final.

I have emailed CPC-Ottawa as well asking them regarding this. My application however, has been processed and CIC has requested my passport but my wife's application has not been processed yet. Should I submit my passport separately then?

I have similar situation as yours, where my daughter and I would need to go home country by the end of this month (air ticket booked already) with expired TRV. However I need to renew first my passport in my home country to be able to get longer expiry date. Renewal of our passport inside Canada will take longer (2months) while in my home country it will take just 2 weeks. I plan to apply for renewal online today. But I don't know if I can request consulate in Ottawa (where we can send our passport) to have the counterfoil be attached in our home country. In your case, did you able to do this for your wife?
