Need advice study permit

Hi, I have applied for Post baccalaureate diploma in AI at St. Francis Xavier's University for January 2020. My application was submitted today and it will reach them by monday (Sat and sun off ). I am assuming it would take about a month for them to issue LOA. If it arrives by say November 7th. How much time would it take to apply and get study permit after that? Would i be able to get it before January? Should I apply for colleges in May just as an option

I think the processing time for India is around 6 weeks.
