Hi Guys,

I applied for 2 programs OINP and SINP. SINP in May 2016 and OINP file reached Toronto in March 2016.

Yesterday, I received nomination from SINP whereas for OINP I received AOR on 23rd August 2016. Now I am in a dilemma.

SINP nomination will expire on 16th October 2016 and I am unable to choose between SINP and OINP. My fear is if I let SINP nomination go then no guarantee that I will be nominated by OINP. OINP nomination is expected by November end but can take more time. Might as well receive it by end of this year. Another thing is I have applied for Australia as well and will be filing the visa by 5th October and expect the grant by end of December this year.

My NOC is 2161. Request some advices/suggestions.

Grab the first opportunity that comes to you. Just accept the nomination and get going for the process to PR. you can settle anywhere in Canada once you reach there. I suggest dont give a second thought.

This is not really true with SINP. I have heard from people who are already in Saskatchewan and many of them said that they are very strict in making the people they nominate stay in their province for 2 years. In other provinces have heard if an option that after 6 months of landing in province one can approach to a lawyer and put up a case that they could not find employment in that province for 6 months and hence would like to move to other province. This has worked for people who landed in Prince Edword Island. But Saskatchewan is strict. If I dont find employment then how would I survive. Although my occupation comes in the list of occupations in demand in Saskatchewan.

I agree with him ... OINP is snail-paced ... please grab the opportunity .. !! Waiting for oinp will lengthen ur PR process time .. if u accept SINP nom. u will get out of the pool this week (if there's a draw) and in next 3-6 months you might get request to send ur passport for visa!

Take it, I would say.

And you have a guarantee that you will find employment in Ontario instantly ?

Nope absolutely no guarantee for Ontario too. Point which I was trying to make was Ontario will have more job openings but that does not mean I will end up grabbing one. Atleast I would have more job opportunities. But I have not really searched for job openings in Saskatchewan yet so cant say that Saskatoon does not have enough opportunities. I am trying to figure out the positives and negatives for each province.

Yes, I understand.. I'm only trying to help u sort ur priorities.. If u do wish to wait .. go ahead by all means.. very few people get denied nomination by Ontario .. But if time is short for u .. or u wish to immigrate u have a choice..
But, it's entirely ur decision.. I wish u the best future !!

The wait for Ontario is killing me! If it was me, I'd be grabbing SINP with both hands and a very big smile!

lawyer?! 6 months?! what are you talking about, once u have the PR card u can go wherever in Canada...even if u decide to live in the northern territories !. the province gave you a nomination for sure yes, but it is your call when to give up the job search and go to another province, no lawyers involved as you are not breaking the law anyhow, the PR card does not state if the holder got it through federal, provincial or anything in that matter. Go ahead friend and choose your future wisely.
