Need advice... secondary education certificates

Hi Guys,

I just sent in my application a few days back. I have realized that I did not include my 10th and 12th standard (GCE O/L and GCE A/L) certificate copies (and some diplomas that I did in between) as I thought only those certificates which are used for credential evaluation and claiming points are required and therefore I have only included copies of my degree certificate and transcript along with the original ECA report.

Will this be a problem?. I need to get these certificates from my colleges as I only have the mark sheets with me. I can get them and send it along with a cover letter requesting it to be included with my original application.

Any suggestions on what I should do and will this affect my application in any way?... Worried.

Yes...kindly send the certificats and marksheets copy with a cover letter to cio.. Mention ur name, d.o.b, paasport no, date of application send and received at cio..on envelope write "additional documents"

Thanks saudkhan418. I suppose I can do that. The document checklist mentions to send the copies of credentials that are used to claim points which I did.

if you have sent an ECA report with attested copies of your your highest qualification certificates, then it is not compulsory to send 10th and 12th certificate copies. As you will be able to claim points for education based on your highest qualification.
the checklist in Point 13 says:
transcripts of successfully completed secondary or post secondary studies, If available.

I think you should be alright but its not worth taking a chance. So I would suggest to go ahead and send those documents.

You are only required to send certificates of the degrees for which you are sending your ECA report and claiming points for. It is completely unnecessary to send other certificates.

I and many others in this forum have already received PER (and visas) by doing just that. Nowhere in CIC's guide asks you to send ALL your education history documents. Besides, your 10th and 12th certificates are quite useless when you already have a higher degree assessed positively. So you decide what you are going to do. The fact remains that it is unnecessary and you should not worry about it.

Thanks polara69 and namaste. If you haven't sent it those certificates and sent only the degree certificates and have received PER then I guess i'll not send those in. I guess as per the checklist I have sent the required minimum so I'll stick with that.
