Hello everyone. Sorry the post is a bit thorough and long.

I need some advice. I am aspiring student for canada. I conpleted my high school from india in 2018 with 93%. And have an Ielts score of 8 overall and no less than 7 in any area. I aslo have an expired short term study visa to the UK.

I am currently awaiting my candian visa.
My agent has shown some signs due to which i don't trust him . I asked him to apply to SFU, BC. Instead he applied for UFV,BC.
I asked him to apply for a Bachelor of arts degree specifically but he applied for a associate of arts degree and told me that there was no difference whe j asked. Still i thought i could change universities and degrees when i reach canada. So on my father's insistence i went through with it.
I applied for a visa on 21/11/2018.
He called me on 14/12/2018 to tell me that he was not receiving an responce from the embassy and wanted to withdraw my online file and file an offline paper file.
I was skeptical and asked him to give me all the details regarding my case including the login details to the last visa application before withdrawing.
He withdrew it without providing me with any proof.

My dad still wanted to continue because he thought that it might be difficult if i tried the next year.

He said that he would get an extension letter on 16/12/2018 but he hadn't been able to till 21/12/2018. I wanted to just start a fresh with another agent but my dad insisted and asked me to wait till 05/01/2019.

Today is 04/01/2019. I have not recieved my visa yet and talking to my dad i think he still wants to wait.

A friend of mine had been duped by this agent of half his fees when he applied through him for australia. So i am pretty skeptical of this and want to ask advice from the community about this.

Should i withdraw the file and try again for september intake 2019 or should i wait. Also the last date for applying to a lot of universities is near 15/01/2019.

Will it affect my case in any way if i withdraw again. I just don't want to get a rejection on my passport because of a lousy agent.

You need to cancel everything with this agent and just apply yourself, why are you using an agent? The visa application is pretty straight forward if you can comprehend basic instructions. An agent who goes against your instructions will cause nothing but problems you need to cancel the representative agreement with IRCC. Plus canceling an application just because there is no reply in a month is just stupid it can take many months to get a visa. Plus you already know agent is a scammer and you are still using him?

Also you wont be able to just switch universities in Canada, there will be a process of application/acceptance transfering credits if applicable etc and you cant not go to school during this time so you will waste a lot of time and money.

Yes, i agree with what bongoman said. I think you can just withdraw your application and tell the reason while withdrawing that you are not trusting your agent. A lot of agents are greedy and selfish these days. So don't fall in trap of them. Use the agents those are transparent to you in the whole visa process e.g idp, canam. I am taking the name of canam because i had good experience with them. But i suggest you to also be aware of all the things they are doing & thoroughy search everything. All the best for your future ☺

Thanks for the answer. I qm going to withdraw my file with this agent. I just recieved a call from his assistant saying the university will send my extension letter on 7/01/2018 when he told me that he has already recieved it.
