I am an additional applicant in FSW1 category application. In point 8 on schedule-1 form, it says,
Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family
members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada,
ever:
"previously sought refugee status in Canada or
applied for a Canadian immigrant or permanent
resident visa or visitor or temporary resident
visa?"

I have applied for student visa for Canada in 1998 and it has been rejected on the grounds of insufficient funds. Please give your inputs if i need to say 'YES' or 'No' to this question.

I don't have any details of that refusal now with me and it was on my previous passport which i don't have it with me anymore. Please let me have your guidance to avoid any mistake.

Also, there is another point which says, "been refused admission to, or ordered to leave,
Canada or any other country?"
As per my understanding, the above point is for person's who are denied permission to get inside country on their arrival. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Need your inputs for both the points whether i should be saying YES or NO to both of these points. Thanks

As to having applied answer YES (if you could remember the approximate date), place the date on details and as to the question been refuse admission to: NO
