Hi all, just wondering if I disclose in my outland application that i worked illegally before in Canada (already stopped), will that affect my application? I have been with my wife for 8 years since college and we got tons of proofs (co-signed car lease, insurance with each other as beneficiary, etc.) Thank you!

You have to be honest with your application to avoid misrepresentation.

If you have a way to prove that you worked in Canada then declare it,
like if you have pay stubs, copy of checks,
like any thing that you declare in your application you need to present proofs.
You will need to declare also the company or person to whom you worked for,

The compensation that you received, copy of checks or pay stubs will help,
but anything that you declare you need to prove...

If you can not prove what you say is like it doesn't exist

It doesn't matter if you can't prove it. You MUST declare this information or you will be committing yet another crime, misrepresentation. If CIC found out, it would most likely lead to deportation and a ban from Canada.

misrepresentation could lead to refusing the application too...better to be honest...
