Hello, everyone. I applied for a PGWP extension due to my passport expiry. I still got 10 months left on my work permit and was issued until my passport expiry date. I renewed my passport and sent all the documents. Canada Post tracking shows that my application reached the Edmonton office on January 25th, 2025. However, I’m still unable to link my application online, and after reaching out to IRCC via web forms for assistance, they responded saying they cannot find my application, even though I’m sure I sent it to the correct address.
My current work permit will expire in May 2025, and I need to figure out how to show my employer that I am not out of status while my extension is being processed.
I am worried that my application might not be considered "applied" if I didn’t receive an AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) or if I am unable to link my application
Does anyone have advice on how to demonstrate that I’m still legally authorized to work in the meantime? Also, should I resend the application or take any other steps to follow up with IRCC? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I
