Hi everyone!!! I've been reading all of your useful Posts... but i really need to talk to someone who has been through the process of seeking asylum. You see, i'm currently in my home country trying to get out as soon as possible. I don't how safe this forum is but i'm scared to speak in public. Is there someone here who i can speak to and knows the process or my chances of getting a refugee status in canada?
Please help me!

There's really two ways to apply for asylum.

One is to obtain a visitor visa to Canada and claim asylum when you arrive. The other is to move outside of your home country and be formally identified as a refugee. You can find more information about both here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/refugees/index.asp
