Hi Guys, I need your advice / Ideas. I just received my Letter of Admission for a three year study program in Canada beginning in September 2011 Semester.

I have already pay the sum of 12.000 CAD for the tuition /Room and Board, and have the receipts from the School showing that I have paid for the entire 1st 12 months of school.

My parents are willing to spend whatever it takes to sponsor my education in Canada. They are also willing to submit a Bank Statment and Letters of SPonsorship to the Canadian Consulate in my country Cameroon-West Africa.

What do I need to do...to secure a Student Visa for Canada. I have the requested documents needed by the Canadian Embassy (Passport, Application Forms filled out, Letters of Admission, Proof of Payment of Fees to the School, Bank Statment from my Parents). Am I really missing anything? I was told that having all these documents and even paying the school fees is not a guarantee that a student Visa will be given. What do I need to do.

Any Immigration Lawyers / Consultants that you guys may recommend that I contact? I really need to get this Visa this time around. I had applied about two years ago and had all my documents and even paid the school fees to the school,...but I was refused a Visa. I really need help this time around. I don't mind using a consultant/Representative to persue my application. I have not deposited my documents yet.

I really need ideas/help. I know there is someone out there (in this forum) that can help me. I am waiting for ideas. Thank You Much....Waiting Shawn..

Hi,
What were the reasons given to you in the letter of refusal?

Hi .....

I was refused a Student Visa because at that time they said I did not have sufficient evidence that I was going to return to my country after I finish my studies.

Also, I was refused a Student Visa before because I had applied late for the Visa. (I applied for a Student Visa at least 3 months before my school school started).

The last reason was that that of insufficient funds.( At that time (2 years ago), I had paid only the required deposit that the schoool required. Which documents / Letters can I submit this time around to by pass these huddles?

Any Ideas / Advice ?
Thanks for your help....

You need to submit:

- bank statements from your sponsor (covering at least 4 months period prior to your application) holding at least CAD 10000 for living expenses + CAD 2000 for air ticket and incidental expenses + the amount of first year fee to be paid (if you haven't paid in full)
- Proof of fee payment i.e. receipts from college/uni and copies of wire transfer/banker's draft or whichever method of payment you used

In order to satisfy CIC regarding your return to Cameroon, you MUST be either employed/studying at the time of application. Submit a separate sheet of paper with your application mentioning your immediate family's (parents and siblings) details including Name, Address and place of permanent residence. The more people (related to you) you will show who are based in Cameroon, the less chance there is to be refused on lack of home-ties. Also submit a "statement of purpose" setting out grounds as to why you wish to study in Canada, how you'll benefit from it and job-wise what scope there is for your proposed course of study upon your return to Cameroon.

Hope this helps !

Cheers ;-)
