Need advice for my case

I would like to seek an advice regarding my status. I applied for a student visa in norway since my old visa will expire this August 2013. Is it okay for the immagration I will apply for a live-in caregiver while I am waiting for my student visa? my employer received a positive result LMO and she already sent the contract to me.I have some documents that would testify I applied for a student visa. Would it be possible?

You can't hold a work permit and a student visa at the same time.

If you are approved for the live-in caregiver work permit, then as soon as the student visa is approved, this will automatically cancel the work permit.

It doesn't make sense to apply for both at the same time. You have to choose either the student visa or the live in caregiver work permit.

Hi! Thank you for the reply.

I mean I applied for a student visa here in Norway though my old visa will end this August 2013. I still have 1 and a half month. My concern is it okay for the Canada immigration I will apply now even if my old visa will expire next month? Coz as per website says processing will take 8-10 weeks. I have my documents that would testify I am waiting for my student visa here in Norway while applying for a LIC in Canada. Can I attach these documents? So they will know I am waiting for my student and will testify I am not illegal here.
