Need a favour from all London office applicants - pre Feb 2008

Hi there,

I was wondering whether people that applied in 2007 to the London office, could enter their application details on trackitt.com. I was hoping to monitor whether there has been any movement on that year's applications.

I applied in November 2007 and (as you might have expected) haven't heard a thing! I'm sure there are many many others in the same boat as me.

Doing this may shed some light for all of us and make the wait a little more bearable :O)

I also applied within the same time frame. From trackkit.com, it can be concluded that though things have started moving for 2007 applicants, they however are still busy with applicants b/w Jan2007 to End of Feb2007. I think we still have some months to wait for any documents update letter (ca 6 to 9 Months I will guess). What do you think?

Thanks Bobby for your input. Its great to share other people's thoughts on this.

I've been feeling rather disheartened for such a long time now that i'm not sure what to think. I decided to put something on the forum to get me thinking about it all again and hopefully make me start feeling more optimistic again.

I am also on trackitt.com and to be honest, it is the best idea ever to get questions answered by following other people's immigration process. I would also want to encourage everyone to join to help others.

Unfortunately, there has not been much movement for London office since June 15... but I am sure that this is due to the low number of cases that have joined trackitt.com. I hope we start seeing more people having the update letter request soon.

I also applied in Aug 2007 from london still waiting and can body know what happend if i'm not any more living in UK

HI Samicyber,
I think that as long as you still have a uk address where they can send your correspondence it should be fine, as long as you can live in the UK any time (i.e. you are a UK citizen, European Union citizen, or UK resident with right of abode).
Otherwise, you will have to transfer your case to the appropriate embassy but you will probably fall under the new rules.

I know this becuase I was going to go back to the USA for a job and therefore, leave the UK and I wrote to the Canadian High Commision for advice and that is what they told me. I could leave it in the UK as long as I have a permanent right to be in the UK, which I do because I have European Union citizenship. Otherwise, I would have to transfer my file from London to Buffalo, but new rules would apply (i.e. 38 occupation rule), since I would not be able to proof that I am legally accepted in UK.

I hope this makes sense.
