Hello everyone ,

I am a pharmacist from lebanon , i have a visitor visa to canada for five years .

I married in canada in last december , my wife got the PR card and she has been living there the past two years , our marriage is certified in quebec where she lives.

I want to go on a training this summer in a university and hopefully to start my master degree in fall .

For now i am still not sure from where i should apply for immigration , in canada or from lebanon , as i am thinking of relocating there starting june .

Looking for any advice , everythhing might help , and i like to read so welcoming for specified links :D .
Thanks in advance.

Check out the wait times: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

For Inland, current wait times are 7 mo (for AIP and work/study visa) + 8 mo (+ 51 days to received the PR card and get SIN card) = almost 17 months

For Outland from Beruit its 1 mo + 23 months = 2 years.

So I would apply Inland if I were you. You can get you study visa after 7 months and full PR after 17 months.

If you leave, you can only return to Canada if you have a valid work permit or study permit. And if your country requires a visa, that as well...

If you applied Inland, its risky to leave Canada during time of application process. Check this parallel thread for opinions.
