Dear Wayne,
First, congratulations!
I have been reading your posts for some time now; and I have also followed with interest your 'little' (ahem) tussle with Nectar.
I know that you look at things logically and make deductions about what might be happening to our applications, so....
What do you suggest I do:
I applied from London under NOC 4121 in December 2009, and my 2nd AOR is dated 26/7/10. My ecas shows RBVO and is not budging even after the specified 8 month period has passed. I sent a case specific enquiry, but there is absolute silence. I am a very patient (Professor of Literature) person, but now even I am getting jittery.
any advice?
Beckett

Well, unlike Nectar I won't give you false, made up timelines so let's just deal with the facts ;)

If you are "received by visa office" on your ECAS it means you have not gone into process yet. It's difficult for me as a post-June-26 applicant to really understand any of the pre-June-26 timelines. I am on another forum (BritishExpats) and I know quite a few pre-June-26 applicants how have been waiting a while.

Many people are also getting no response to case specific queries, it really does seem quite luck based as to whether they will reply at all.

The process is different for us compared with you guys in that CIO have already done a lot more of the eligibility review prior to receipt by the visa office.

My only advice really until you hear anything official from CHC is to try to draw off the experiences of other genuine CHC London applicants on the same timelines as yourself. Forums such as this, BritishExpats.com and also trackitt.com can have smatterings of useful information and feedback.

Sorry I can't be of any further help - I can imagine how frustrating it is, but hang in there buddy !:)

Best of luck,
Wayne.

hi Cappuccino , first of all congrats on your MR! I sent my passports to the embassy and until now I havent received them back. Its been 4 months. I sent a case specific inquiry regarding the passports and its return. Here's their reply::

"We have received your passports and your file is in queue for finalization. We regret that we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the finalization of the application, and we appreciate your understanding while you wait to hear more from our office."

question is, have you read anyone re-do their meds? specific Need your advice...

Congratulations Cappuccino & EmmaJ :)

Apologies...

I was just telling Jig that I am also four months in waiting...only its the Passport Request instead of the VISA issuance. Also said that its difficult to make decisions as I don't want to rush things. Was also asking him for tips on finding work if ever as we have the same NOC.

Regards,

rich

Hi - I have heard of some exceptional cases where people have had to redo their meds because it's taken longer than 1 year to finalize, but such cases I think are exceptionally rare.

I guess the above message means they have certain finalization priorities, although only they know exactly what those priorities are. IMO it's rather irresponsible of visa office to request medicals if they are not in a position to issue a visa, since it does run the risk, albeit an unlikely one, that the medicals will expire.

Since 0213 is not on the in-demand occupation list it's possible they are placing lower priority on finalizing your application?

But sorry all I can do is guess - not much can be done until you hear from the visa office.

Best of luck.
Wayne.
